NAZARE : THE BIGGEST AND SCARIEST WAVE EVER SURFED

The gigantic waves of Nazaré are located in Praia do Norte (north beach), in Portugal. This wave is the queen of big wave surfing. In November 2011, Garrett McNamara decided to surf the giant with a technique call the tow-in. ( the surfer is propelled into the wave with the help of a person pulling him or her in a jet-ski.) With a 23,8m wave, he entered the Guiness World Record up to November 2017 where he was beaten by Rodrigo Koxa, a brazilian surfer that took a 24,4m wave !
